Room Tariffs:
Prices are inclusive of Full Country Breakfast and VAT @ the prevailing rate of 20.0%.

Special Offers and Promotions:
Special offers and special rates are subject to a limited allocation of rooms for those offers. Once these rooms allocated have been sold, special offers may be withdrawn and remaining rooms will be sold at full published rates.
One offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.
Offers cannot be applied or claimed retrospectively to a booking already made at a different agreed rate.

Cancellation Policy:
Should you need to cancel, you need to do so at least seven days prior to the date of your arrival to avoid a cancellation charge being made. If you cancel less than seven days prior to the date of arrival you will be charged the value of the accommodation for the whole booking. If we are able to re-sell your room, no charge will be made. All cancellations must be confirmed to us in writing, by fax or e-mail. A cancellation number will then be notified to you. If you have booked via our on-line booking facility and wish to cancel, please contact the George direct by telephone or e-mail. All cancellations need to be confirmed in writing.
Please note that our cancellation policy will apply irrespective of the circumstances surrounding the cancellation. To reduce the risk of cancellation charges may we suggest that travel insurance may well be a prudent option, particularly at times of poor weather.

Dress Code
Informality and relaxation is our aim throughout The George. I recently read with some amusement a hotel proprietor stating on his website “We don’t operate a gym, so please do not dress as if we have one.”!  We would not wish to appear as “stiff” as this, however….
The only area where we make any request with regards to dress is the Restaurant, which I hope is not particularly onerous; we do not insist on jackets or ties, but request that t-shirts and trainers are not worn.  Smart jeans are perfectly acceptable.
