As you are probably beginning to realise, organising your wedding is potentially the most daunting of tasks - where do you start? As the ‘to do' list gets bigger, and the date draws nearer, you are going to need help.

One advantage to choosing the George is that you have, in effect, your own personal wedding advisor. Our wedding advisor, Kathryn Joseph, has a great deal of experience at organising weddings. Kathryn will be able to advise you every step of the way to ensure you have a superb day. As you would expect, we have built up a large number of contacts (florists, cake-makers, entertainers, photographers and other wedding specialists) whom we can recommend, should you be stuck and we can guide you through the requirements of arranging a civil ceremony on the premises.

We have a small team at the George, which means that the people you talk to throughout the details stage of your Wedding will also be there with you on the day. Meet our Chef, Helen Heywood, who will be delighted to discuss your individual menu requirements - we want to create an experience individually catered for you. At the George we can achieve precisely this because, unlike many other venues, we only cater for one wedding at any one time....
